Baseball Recap: Del Oro Falls to Woodcreek in First Game of Season

Del Oro had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodcreek Timberwolves on Saturday. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 11-4 to them when the teams met back in March of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Del Oro saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Santiago, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Del Oro wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-2 win against West Park on the 18th. As for Woodcreek, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against Oakmont on the 21st.
