Preview: Johnson Eagles vs. Keith Bears

Johnson is 2-8 against Keith since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The pair will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Johnson has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Keith will arrive with five straight wins.

Johnson suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Friday. They were dealt a 74-43 defeat at the hands of University Charter.

Meanwhile, Keith scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Linden 96-37 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Keith has managed all season.

Miles Hannah continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tommy Tisdale III, who scored 12 points.

Johnson bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Keith, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Johnson suffered a grim 62-42 defeat to Keith when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Johnson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
