Soccer Recap: La Marque Comes Up Short

La Marque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Sweeny Bulldogs, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Sweeny this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 back in January.

La Marque's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Sweeny, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. La Marque is set to challenge their familiar foe Stafford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Sweeny will face off against rival Needville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
