Volleyball Recap: Somerset Academy Comes Up Short

Somerset Academy lost against Monsignor Pace back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Somerset Academy Panthers came up short against the Monsignor Pace Spartans, falling 3-0. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

While Somerset Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-22.

Monsignor Pace found their leader in sophomore Lucas Neptune, who had nine digs and five assists. The dominant performance gave Neptune a new career-high in assists.

Somerset Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Monsignor Pace, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.

Somerset Academy has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against West Broward on the 14th. As for Monsignor Pace, they will take on MAST Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monsignor Pace is facing MAST Academy at the right time seeing as MAST Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
