Baseball Recap: Stagg Gets the Win

While Stagg's win against Edison wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Delta Kings won by a run and slipped past the Vikings 7-6. The Delta Kings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings on Wednesday, too.

Sebastian Ramirez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over 5.2 innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Patrick Inthasak, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Michael Hutchinson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Stagg's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Edison, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7-1.

Coming up, Edison will be playing at home against Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stagg will be paying especially close attention to the Vikings' contest: after the Vikings faces off against the Yellowjackets, they'll take on Stagg again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
