Basketball Game Preview: La Habra Highlanders vs. Crean Lutheran Saints

The La Habra Highlanders will venture away from home to take on the Crean Lutheran Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in La Habra's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.

La Habra is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since December 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Cypress by a score of 65-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Highlanders still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Crean Lutheran didn't have too much trouble with AGBU on Monday as they won 73-59.

Crean Lutheran is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for La Habra, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-7.

La Habra won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played two weeks ago, slipping by Crean Lutheran 56-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Habra since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
