Baseball Recap: Iroquois West Raiders vs. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils
Iroquois West extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 7-9 in the process. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 9-3 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Iroquois West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Alvarez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Caleb Fauser also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has become a key player for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 5-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, JAXEN SPICER was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was MICAH STANFORD, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iroquois West will host Armstrong at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they will challenge Prairie Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.35 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
