Football Game Preview: Petaluma Trojans vs. Fortuna Huskies + How To Watch

The Petaluma Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Fortuna Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Petaluma hadn't beaten Casa Grande on the road since September 16, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Trojans enjoyed a cozy 38-21 win over the Gauchos. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Brody Stevens and Aidan Wirtz. Stevens rushed for 165 yards and one TD while picking up 10.3 yards per carry while Wirtz rushed for 161 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. Those 165 rushing yards gave Stevens a new career-high.

Petaluma was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 460 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 239 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, while Fortuna put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Eureka. The Huskies claimed a resounding 39-0 victory over the Loggers. Considering the Huskies have won three games by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Petaluma's record is now 7-3. As for Fortuna, their record now sits at 6-4.
