Volleyball Recap: Mt. Gilead Indians vs. Elgin Comets

Mt. Gilead lost against Elgin back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Indians came up short against the Comets, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 25-15.

Mt. Gilead's offense was headlined by Abby Leonhard and Jaely Lease, who picked up three kills apiece. Lease also shared the team's lead in assists with Kenlee Trainer: they picked up three each. McKenlee Bump and Lindsey Ayers kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Elgin found their leader in sophomore Jocelyn Wall, who had 13 digs and six assists.

Mt. Gilead's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Elgin, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Mt. Gilead nor the Comets have any future games scheduled.
