Softball Recap: East Bladen Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ashley last Thursday, East Bladen came back down to earth. East Bladen fell 9-5 to the East Columbus Gators on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Gators: they've now lost four in a row.

East Bladen saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenna Brice, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

East Bladen now has a losing record of 1-2. As for East Columbus, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Bladen will take on West Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Columbus, they will challenge South Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
