Football Game Preview: Jackson Academy Raiders vs. Pillow Academy Mustangs

The Jackson Academy Raiders will challenge the Pillow Academy Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Pillow Academy will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Jackson Academy extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Raiders blew past Bayou Academy 48-7. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pillow Academy). They strolled past St. Joseph Catholic with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 43-24.

Pillow Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Jackson Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Jackson Academy took their victory against Pillow Academy in their previous meeting back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 24-0 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
