Volleyball Recap: Timpanogos Timberwolves vs. Uintah Utes
Timpanogos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Uintah Utes. If the Timberwolves were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Utes when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Timpanogos took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, 15-11.
Mia Tanner paced Timpanogos' offense, picking up 12 kills. Tanner got some help from Shelby Hartman and her 29 assists. Hartman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Among those leading the charge was Abbie Davis, who had 26 assists. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in kills (two).
Timpanogos' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Uintah, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9.
Timpanogos didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Dixie on the 19th. As for Uintah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Provo on the 23rd.
