Volleyball Recap: Timpanogos Timberwolves vs. Uintah Utes

Timpanogos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Uintah Utes. If the Timberwolves were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Utes when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Timpanogos took Uintah into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, 15-11.

Mia Tanner paced Timpanogos' offense, picking up 12 kills. Tanner got some help from Shelby Hartman and her 29 assists. Hartman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Uintah can attribute much of their success to Abbie Davis, who had 26 assists. The dominant performance also gave Davis a new career-high in kills (two).

Timpanogos' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Uintah, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Timpanogos has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Dixie on the 19th. As for Uintah, they will face off against Provo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
