Basketball Recap: Berry's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Berry lost against Lamar County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Berry Wildcats fell to the Lamar County Bulldogs 64-60. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Berry lost, don't look at Jordan Jackson. Despite the final result, he went 10 for 14 en route to 22 points along with seven boards and five blocks. The game was Jackson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ashton Waltrip, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Berry's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-9. As for Lamar County, their win ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-20.

Berry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-33 victory against West Blocton on the 23rd. Lamar County has also already played their next match, a 77-56 defeat against Hubbertville on the 22nd.
