Soccer Game Preview: Northern Durham vs. Chapel Hill

Northern Durham is 0-10 against Chapel Hill since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Northern Durham is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They came up short against South Granville, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Chapel Hill after they claimed the first goal on Wednesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Riverside-Durham.

Northern Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Chapel Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-6-1 record this season.

Northern Durham suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Chapel Hill in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
