Basketball Recap: Mize Bulldogs vs. Richton Rebels

The Mize Bulldogs lost against the Richton Rebels back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Mize took a 42-28 bruising from the Rebels.

Richton found their leader in underclassman Nylah Robins, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Robins is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ta'Nya Bradley, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.

Mize's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Richton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-15 record this season.

Mize will be playing in front of their home fans against the Oilers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heidelberg presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Mississippi (the Oilers are ranked 66th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 219th). As for Richton, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
