With a playoff win on the line, Mead rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Conifer Lobos. The victory was nothing new for the Mavericks as they're now sitting on four straight.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 27-29, 25-12.
Alana Costello had an outrageously good game as she had 18 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Kamdyn Morris, who had four digs and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Mead was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive contests.
Mead's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Conifer, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 17-8.
As of now, neither Mead nor the Lobos have any future games scheduled.
