Baseball Recap: Gateway Gators vs. Franklin Regional Panthers
Gateway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Regional Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gators of the 15-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.
Christian Vagni was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March.
