Basketball Game Preview: Sharpstown Apollos vs. Spring Woods Tigers

The Sharpstown Apollos will venture away from home to challenge the Spring Woods Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sharpstown has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 25.

On Saturday, Sharpstown came up short against Milby and fell 36-29.

Meanwhile, Spring Woods strolled past Waltrip with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 67-50. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Spring Woods is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Sharpstown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Sharpstown was dealt a bruising 71-27 defeat at the hands of Spring Woods in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can Sharpstown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
