Basketball Recap: Niskayuna Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ciarra Gonzalez and Skye Linyear

Niskayuna lost against Averill Park back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Niskayuna Silver Warriors received a blow as they fell 55-38 to the Averill Park Warriors. While the Silver Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 14-9 in the first quarter.

Niskayuna's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Skye Linyear, who posted 12 points along with six boards and three steals, and Ciarra Gonzalez, who put up six points and three steals.

Niskayuna's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Niskayuna didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-45 loss against Bethlehem Central on the 7th. As for Averill Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-48 victory against Columbia on the 7th.
