Preview: Adair County Indians vs. Elizabethtown Panthers
The Adair County Indians will stay at home for another game and welcome the Elizabethtown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Adair County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Elizabethtown likes a good challenge.
Adair County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Grayson County 91-69. With Adair County ahead 49-29 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Adair County can attribute much of their success to Connor Loy, who scored 20 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds, and Isaiah Cochran, who scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Cochran has scored at least 25% of Adair County's points. Blane Bardin was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Elizabethtown's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 79-50 loss at the hands of Lexington Catholic. While losing is never fun, Elizabethtown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Lexington Catholic is ranked ninth).
