Basketball Recap: West Caldwell Warriors vs. Maiden Blue Devils
West Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 60-26 defeat at the hands of the Maiden Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 59th).
Maiden was led to victory by Khiara Culliver and Raegan Rembert. Culliver dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Rembert dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave Rembert a new career-high. Willow Bass was another key player, putting up eight points and five assists.
West Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Maiden, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-3.
