League recap: Loss throws longest pass in league this season for Scappoose

Fans got a thrill when Taylor Loss and Brandon Winters connected against Rainier. The longest such play in 4A Cowapa this season, the connection resulted in 89 yards.

Astoria moved up to 111 from 141 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Fishermen climbed the ranks as a result of besting Molalla 37-14.

Scappoose's dynamic duo of Loss and Nick Rust proved to be unstoppable against the Columbians, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Loss threw for 382 yards and 5 touchdowns and Rust had 181 yards receiving. Justice Oman helped Scappoose's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 122 yards.

The Indians' dynamic duo of Loss and Rust proved tough for Rainier to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Rust was the best wideout in the league this week as Scappoose topped Thor Ware's team.

Loss put up the best numbers through the air as Sean Mcnabb's team bested the Columbians.

Nick Strange was the best running back in 4A Cowapa this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 95 yards as Astoria bested Rainier. Teammate Dylan Sollars added to the ground attack by rushing for 91 yards.

Banks took down Benson Tech 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Garrett Markham threw for 102 yards and ran for 80 yards during the win.
