Volleyball Recap: Mercy Snags 22nd Victory in Last 25 Games

Mercy won the last time they faced Coopersville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Marlins walked away with a 2-0 win over the Broncos.

Mercy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12.

Kate Kalczynski paced Mercy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Kalczynski got some help from Kaisa Nirkala and her 15 assists. Maya Zarow controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Mercy is on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 25 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-4-1 record this season. As for Coopersville, they dropped their record down to 13-23-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Mercy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Utica Eisenhower on the 25th. As for Coopersville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Byron Center on the 25th.
