If Charles J. Colgan was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Forest Park on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sharks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriot Pioneers on Monday. The Sharks' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-23, 15-25, 25-22, 25-15.

Sienna Mitchell paced Charles J. Colgan's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mitchell got some help from Elizabeth Robinson and her 20 assists. Cianna Morbeto controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Patriot found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Shelton, who had 15 digs and two assists. Shelton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 20-4. As for Patriot, the victory was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-3.

Charles J. Colgan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Gar-Field on the 23rd. As for Patriot, they will square off against Gainesville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
