Baseball Game Preview: Nashoba Regional Wolves vs. Wachusett Regional Mountaineers

Nashoba Regional hasn't had much luck against Wachusett Regional recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolves will square off against the Mountaineers at 11:00 a.m. Nashoba Regional's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Wachusett Regional's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Nashoba Regional managed to slip by Shepherd Hill Regional the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolves came up short against the Rams on Thursday, falling 9-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Wachusett Regional came up short against Weymouth on Saturday and fell 8-5.

Nate Roy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Nashoba Regional now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Wachusett Regional, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.

Nashoba Regional couldn't quite finish off Wachusett Regional when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
