Basketball Recap: Brevard Comes Up Short

Brevard extended their losing streak to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 1-13. They took a blow against the Pisgah Bears, falling 73-26. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 59-32 to the Bears when the teams met back in January of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Pisgah, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season.

Bailey Conner was her usual excellent self, going 7-for-11 en route to 16 points and eight steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2025. Chandler Lowery was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Brevard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-34 loss against West Henderson on the 20th. As for Pisgah, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-23 win against Smoky Mountain on the 20th.
