Baseball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus was the 8-4 winner over AGWSR when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sailors came up short against the Cougars on Wednesday, falling 12-2. The Sailors' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for AGWSR, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Columbus didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Gladbrook-Reinbeck on the 5th. As for AGWSR, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-2 defeat against South Hardin on the 5th.
