Baseball Recap: Red Land Beats Hershey for Their Fourth Straight Win

Red Land got themselves on the board against Hershey on Wednesday, but Hershey never followed suit. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 4-0. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Trojans on April 9th, they had to take a 11-3 defeat.

The result came thanks to Austin Michelsen's shutout, as he gave up just six hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Red Land is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jordon McCahan, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

The victory (which was Red Land's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Hershey, they moved to 10-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Red Land has already played their next match, a 5-4 defeat against Cedar Cliff on the 1st. As for Hershey, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-0 victory against Carlisle on the 6th.
