Murrah came into Tuesday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Jim Hill Tigers by a score of 11-6 on Tuesday. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Murrah's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Jim Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Murrah and Jim Hill could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. The Mustangs will square off against Clinton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (165 vs. 37). Meanwhile, Jim Hill (ranked 148th) will meet George County (ranked fifth) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
