After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bloomfield, Shiprock was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Northwest Falcons get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chieftains, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Shiprock's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shiprock will square off against Gallup at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bengals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Chieftains surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northwest, they will be playing at home against Jemez Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
