Basketball Game Preview: Bowen Boilermakers vs. Corliss Trojans

Bowen is 0-4 against Corliss since December of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Boilermakers will welcome the Trojans at 4:55 p.m. Bowen will be strutting in after a victory while Corliss will be coming in after a loss.

Bowen is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Chicago Sullivan: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Boilermakers blew the Tigers out of the water with a 90-35 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-15.

Meanwhile, Corliss ended up a good deal behind Simeon on Wednesday and lost 57-43. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Bowen will have to contain Carl Parrish as he made an impact in Corliss' last game. He posted 15 points. Jayden Rhodes was another key player, putting up ten points.

Corliss now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bowen, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Bowen came up short against Corliss in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 63-58. Thankfully for the Boilermakers, Walter Boyd (who had 24 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
