Baseball Recap: Rosemead Comes Up Short

Rosemead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Marshall Eagles, falling 9-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Rosemead saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Mojica, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Mojica also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Rosemead's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Marshall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosemead will host Arroyo at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Marshall, they will welcome Alhambra at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Moors will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
