Volleyball Recap: Midlothian Heritage Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Midlothian Heritage challenged Liberty Hill on Friday. The Jaguars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Claire Moody paced Midlothian Heritage's offense, picking up six kills. Moody were helped by Addi Huff and Devyn Dennis, who contributed three assists each.

Leading Liberty Hill to victory were Sydney Starritt and Addison Betzen. Starritt had five digs and three aces, while Betzen had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Betzen has posted since back in August of 2024. Rachel Lewey also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Midlothian Heritage has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Liberty Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Midlothian Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Westwood on the 22nd. As for Liberty Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 22nd.
