Softball Recap: Chicago Academy Comes Up Short

Chicago Academy fell victim to Jones and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 17-0 to the Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly 17 runs.

Chicago Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Jones, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Chicago Academy will head out to square off against Rickover Naval at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Seadragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.82 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jones, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lake View at 4:30 p.m.
