Basketball Game Preview: Cumberland County Panthers vs. Glasgow Scotties

The Cumberland County Panthers will challenge the Glasgow Scotties at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cumberland County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Glasgow likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Cumberland County strolled past Berea with points to spare, taking the game 70-54.

Meanwhile, Glasgow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt an 80-40 loss at the hands of Larue County. While losing is never fun, the Scotties can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Hawks are ranked 45th).

Cumberland County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. As for Glasgow, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-20.
