Tyler HEAT had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Tuesday. They snuck past the Jacksonville Fightin' Indians with a 61-55 victory. Given Tyler HEAT's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Jacksonville is ranked 610th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tyler HEAT to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted ten or more assists the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Waker Hartman, who went 6 of 7 en route to 17 points.

Tyler HEAT's win was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-2. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 39.3% in those games and 29.6% outside of them. As for Jacksonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-19 record this season.

Tyler HEAT will venture away from home to square off against East Texas Homeschool Sports at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tyler HEAT is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.5 points per game this season. As for Jacksonville, they will be playing at home against Lufkin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lufkin will roll in looking for their 30th straight victory, something Jacksonville surely won't give up without a fight.
