Softball Game Preview: San Dimas Saints vs. Los Altos Conquerors

The San Dimas Saints will square off against the Los Altos Conquerors at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. San Dimas is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, San Dimas didn't have quite enough to beat Alta Loma and fell 5-4.

Audrey Schlim put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Mia Patlan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. Tiffany Villegas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Los Altos had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Titans.

Los Altos' victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for San Dimas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10-1 record this season.

Los Altos' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: San Dimas has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. It's a different story for Los Altos, though, as they've only averaged .355. Will they be able to contain San Dimas' hitters?
