Baseball Recap: Luther Comes Up Short

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Luther was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell 4-1 to the Cashion Wildcats. The Lions have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Luther's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Cashion, their victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Luther will venture away from home to face off against Colbert at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Leopards' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cashion, they will head out on the road to square off against Edmond Santa Fe at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3, the Wolves 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
