Basketball Recap: Parkville Falls Despite Big Games from Brenden Turkson and Kyliek Howard

Parkville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 49-35 bruising from New Town. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 53-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Despite the defeat, Parkville had strong showings from Kyliek Howard, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 14 points, and Brenden Turkson, who posted six points and seven boards.

Parkville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for New Town, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Parkville will host Perry Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Town, they will challenge Potomac School at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
