Clemente hasn't had much luck against Juarez recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wildcats will square off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Clemente comes in on three and Juarez on ten.
On Tuesday, Clemente made easy work of South Shore International and carried off a 22-1 victory. Considering the Wildcats' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Jamaris Nguyen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Sabrina Negron and Talina Figueroa did most of the damage at the plate: Negron went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Figueroa went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Brooklyn Caraballo was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Clemente always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .818. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Juarez). They put the hurt on South Shore International with a sharp 23-1 win on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Juarez's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Clemente, their record is now 7-1-1.
Clemente suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Juarez when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
