Volleyball Recap: Ridgway Comes Up Short

Ridgway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Dolores Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-10.

Madison Megahee paced Ridgway's offense, picking up four kills. Megahee got some help from Mary Patrick and her two assists. Finally, Ava Berwanger kept Ridgway's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Dolores found their leader in freshman Layla Mitchell, who had nine digs.

Ridgway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Dolores, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1.

Ridgway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Norwood on the 23rd. As for Dolores, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Telluride on the 23rd.
