Basketball Recap: Hathaway Victorious

Hathaway proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 26) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over the Lake Arthur Tigers. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Tigers are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hathaway pushed their record up to 16-15 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lake Arthur, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hathaway will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Holden at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Lake Arthur, they will be playing at home against Midland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
