Father McGivney Catholic had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Metro-East Lutheran Knights by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on April 1st.

While Father McGivney Catholic might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Metro-East Lutheran scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21.

Patrick Gierer paced Father McGivney Catholic's offense, picking up four kills. Gierer got some help from Jack Bukovac and his five assists. Bukovac was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Father McGivney Catholic picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 8-12. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
