Softball Recap: Pleasant Valley Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Pleasant Valley's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Blue Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Pleasant Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma DePalma, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Pleasant Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Nazareth Area, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pleasant Valley will face off against rival Bethlehem Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Nazareth Area is set to challenge their familiar foe Pocono Mountain West at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Blue Eagles' favor as the team sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Panthers have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
