Football Recap: Plainfield South Keeps Oswego's Under Pressure + How To Watch

Plainfield South extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost to the Oswego Panthers at home by a 24-7 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Panthers are ranked 49th).

Even if they lost, Plainfield South's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Mason Bucon, Easton Ripke, and Ayden Flemings, who each picked up one sack apiece.

As for Oswego, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 33.0 points this season.

Leading Oswego to victory were Memphis Huguley and Jezhian Sprinkle. Huguley rushed for 86 yards and one score, while Sprinkle rushed for 92 yards.
