Basketball Game Preview: South Bend St. Joseph Huskies vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies

The South Bend St. Joseph Huskies will venture away from home to square off against the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, South Bend St. Joseph got the win against Hobart by a conclusive 46-22. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Brickies are ranked 337th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kenadie Schrock was her usual excellent self, putting up 13 points and five steals. She has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Karli Brooke, who posted nine points and five boards.

South Bend St. Joseph smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Plymouth had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 41-30 victory over the Minutemen.

South Bend St. Joseph is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Plymouth, their record is now 12-6.
