Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's vs. Texoma Christian Eagles

St. Mary are taking a road trip to square off against the Texoma Christian Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Texoma Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Mary's, who comes in off a win.

St. Mary's will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Trinity School of Texas, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. St. Mary's managed a 48-44 win over Trinity School of Texas two weeks ago. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Mary's.

John Brogan was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-21 on his way to 25 points along with six steals and five rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blanton Mansfield, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Texoma Christian entered their game against Lakehill Prep on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Texoma Christian took a 44-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakehill Prep.

Texoma Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for St. Mary's, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

St. Mary's came up short against Texoma Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 53-48. Can St. Mary's avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
