Baseball Game Preview: St. Michael Warriors vs. John Curtis Christian Patriots

The St. Michael Warriors will head out to take on the John Curtis Christian Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Michael saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Cecilia by a score of 8-4. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, John Curtis Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Ruston on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Luke Martinez and Jeffrey Curtis did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Curtis went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The dominant performance also gave Curtis a new career-high in hits (three).

John Curtis Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for St. Michael, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

St. Michael might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from John Curtis Christian in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can St. Michael avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
