Basketball Recap: Remsen Takes a Loss

Remsen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost to the New York Mills Marauders at home by a 73-58 margin. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Marauders earlier this season, when they won 58-50.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New York Mills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Santino DiOirio, who posted 23 points and seven rebounds. Aiden Miller was another key player, putting up 16 points in addition to six assists and five steals.

Remsen's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for New York Mills, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Remsen will head out to challenge Town of Webb at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Remsen's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for New York Mills, they will challenge Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
